Wellwest's Sustainability Policy

Like all living creatures, a positive relationship with the environment and local community play key roles in healthy living. For the health of our patients the clinic site has been screened by a bio electric consultant for EMF or other adverse environmental hazards (see Tips and News). Where possible eco-friendly materials and products are used in the clinic; choices include environmental paints and non-toxic insulation.

By taking the time to get to know each of our patients we have developed strong links with the community. These are reinforced through active participation in preventive medicine initiatives, support for charities and environmental projects.

Sustainability Policy

At Wellwest we are committed to reducing our environmental impact by adopting sustainable and ethical business practices.

We recognise the importance of living responsibly, in harmony with both our local and global environment. Where possible we prioritise ecologically sustainable and ethical choices. Some of these include:

Responsible resource consumption:

• We use appliances and equipment that are energy efficient & reduce our resource consumption such as - water efficient toilets and taps, washing machine and low energy light bulbs.
• We recycle disposable items wherever possible - from massage cream containers to printing cartridges.
• We give preference to sustainable and/or recycled products wherever available.

Prioritisation of healthy choices for both our patients and the environment:

• We use 'paraben free' natural products in the treatment of patients.
• Our clinic space is kept clean and healthy by using eco cleaning and washing products.
• All of our printed materials use plant based inks and sustainably sourced paper.

Support for local and global communities:

• Where possible we prioritise supporting our local business network and give preference to suppliers who are environmentally responsible.
• We select fair trade items where possible these include: coffee, sugar and some of our clinic furnishings.
• Our clinic supports World Vision through regular donations to disaster relief and child sponsorship.

Creating a healthy happy work environment:

• Promote team-work, skills development, and work-life balance.
• Be honest and transparent in our internal and external communications.
• Care for our staff and patient by providing a safe, healthy and supportive working environment.
• Continually improve our environmental and social practices through regular review of our activities.
